A statement of understatement. The watch is named after the smallest dwarf planet in our solar system and is a tribute to the start of Christiaan van der Klaauw as an independent watch maker in 1974. The dial with its magnificent sunray pattern is the perfect backdrop for the large moon phase indication that has been designed and produced completely in-house. When the Moon is left of centre, it is in its first quarter. When the Moon is in the centre, it is full Moon and right of centre, it is in its last quarter. If the Moon is not visible, you see a beautiful starry sky in the window, it is new Moon.
