The CVDK Venus Annual Calendar brings together two worlds that have defined Christiaan van der Klaauw Astronomical Watches for more than half a century: the measurement of time and the mechanical representation of the heavens. At the heart of its matt white dial, Venus, Earth and the Moon travel around the Sun, showing their real-time positions and orbits in a sophisticated mechanical Planetarium. Surrounding this celestial display, the Annual Calendar presents the days and individual lengths of each month. Housed in an elegant 38 mm rose gold Au750 case and paired with a blue FKM strap, the Venus Annual Calendar is a technical and refined interpretation of the CVDK astronomical universe.
THE VENUS PLANETARIUM
The Venus Annual Calendar is equipped with the CVDK CKM-01 Manufacture Movement and the specially developed astronomical Venus module. The dial consists of four separate discs, three of which rotate and carry the celestial bodies Venus, Earth and Moon. Together they create a mechanical Planetarium showing the real-time position and orbit of Venus and Earth around the Sun, as well as the position and orbit of the Moon around Earth.
Venus completes its journey around the Sun in 224.7 days, travelling at an orbital speed of 126,071 kilometres per hour. Earth requires 365.2 days to complete its orbit and travels around the Sun at 107,206 kilometres per hour. The Moon revolves around Earth in 27.3 days. These astronomical movements and figures become part of the dial itself, transforming scientific information into a constantly moving mechanical representation of our celestial surroundings.

Each section reflects the actual length of that particular month, allowing the calendar and astronomical indications to become part of one integrated composition.
The Venus Annual Calendar requires only one correction every four years. Corrections can be conveniently made through the crown, combining the complexity of the astronomical and calendar mechanism with straightforward everyday use.

CVDK MANUFACTURE MOVEMENT
Visible through the sapphire crystal case-back, the CKM-01 Manufacture Movement offers a 60-hour power reserve and features hand-finished star-shaped bridges with rhodium plating. Its skeletonized rose gold-plated rotor, shaped as the CVDK sun logo, completes the distinctive astronomical character of the movement.
