Ariadne Aventurine Blue chronograph with a star-filled blue Aventurine dial

Collection of the Stars - CKAR3304

CVDKAriadne Aventurine Blue

The CVDK Ariadne Aventurine Blue brings a distinctly celestial character to the Ariadne collection. Its deep blue Aventurine dial creates the appearance of a star-filled night sky, complemented by dark blue day, month and moon phase discs with Super-LumiNova details. Housed in a 40 mm stainless steel case and paired with a navy-blue ostrich foot leather strap, this version combines the full Ariadne complication with one of CVDK’s most recognisable dial materials.

Ariadne beneath astar-filled sky

The Ariadne combines a broad range of mechanical indications within a compact and balanced 40 mm case. Chronograph counters, calendar functions, a 24-hour indication and moon phase are all integrated into a clear and characterful dial layout.

On this version, the deep blue Aventurine surface gives the watch a more celestial appearance. Unlike the earlier Ariadne executions with applied metal counter rings, this dial is more integrated in appearance, with dark blue discs for the day, month and moon phase indications. The red chronograph seconds hand and red-tipped date hand provide a vivid contrast against the Aventurine background.

Specifications

The Ariadne combines hours and minutes with small seconds, a 24-hour indication and a complete calendar displaying day, date and month. Its chronograph measures elapsed seconds, minutes and hours, while the moon phase at 6 o’clock adds the astronomical indication.

Chronograph & Moon Phase

The Ariadne combines a full chronograph with calendar and astronomical indications. Elapsed time is measured through seconds, a 30-minute counter and a 12-hour counter, accompanied by day, date, month and a 24-hour indication.

At 6 o’clock, the moon phase shows the progression of the lunar cycle. When the Moon appears to the left of centre, it is in its first quarter; at the centre, it is full Moon; and to the right, it is in its last quarter. When the Moon disappears, the window reveals a starry sky and indicates new Moon.

The Ariadne after dark

This Ariadne features two Super-LumiNova elements. The first is the moon phase at 6 o’clock, which remains clearly visible in low light and gives the astronomical indication a second expression after dark.

The second luminous element is found in the day and month indication, where Super-LumiNova text adds further contrast and legibility. Together, these details give the Aventurine Blue version a more pronounced night-time character than the standard Ariadne executions.
