CVDKOrion Silver Rose Gold

The CVDK Orion Silver Rose Gold combines its rotating celestial map with the warmth of an 18 ct rose gold case. At the centre, the blue Planisphere follows the stars and constellations visible across much of the northern hemisphere, completing one rotation in 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.0916 seconds. A silver dial and blue ostrich foot leather strap complete the composition.

The northern skyin rose gold

At the centre of the Orion, a rotating Planisphere recreates the apparent movement of the night sky. Its deep blue surface carries the stars and constellations across the display according to the sidereal day.

The surrounding silver dial creates a bright contrast with the celestial map, while the rose gold case and hands introduce warmth to the composition. Blue Roman numerals and a matching strap connect the astronomical display to the wider design of the watch.

Caseback

The CVDK Orion Silver Rose Gold is powered by the automatic CVDK1072. The movement uses 25 jewels and provides a power reserve of up to 42 hours, driving the time indication together with the dedicated Orion Planisphere module.

The rotating Planisphere

The Orion’s Planisphere turns according to the sidereal day, the period Earth takes to complete one rotation relative to the distant stars. This cycle lasts 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4.0916 seconds, slightly shorter than the familiar 24-hour solar day.

As the celestial map rotates, it reproduces the apparent movement of the stars and constellations visible from much of the northern hemisphere. A Zodiac indication adds another astronomical reference to the continuously moving display.

The Orion after dark

Once the surrounding light fades, Super-LumiNova reveals another expression of the Orion. Stars and constellation lines illuminate across the blue Planisphere, transforming the central display into a luminous representation of the northern night sky.

The contrast with the silver dial and warm rose gold case makes the illuminated celestial map especially distinct, allowing the astronomical complication to become the visual centre of the watch after dark.

Made in theCVDK atelier

The CVDK atelier produces only a limited number of watches each year, giving every piece the attention its construction and finishing require. Each watch is assembled by hand, subjected to extensive quality testing and delivered in a dedicated CVDK presentation box with a three-year warranty on the movement and case.
