The CVDK Real Moon Joure Green Meteorite brings together two distinctly astronomical elements: a dial crafted from genuine meteorite and CVDK’s exceptionally precise three-dimensional moon phase. Beneath the green surface, the natural structure of the meteorite remains visible, while the rotating miniature Moon follows the lunar cycle with a deviation of only one day in 11,000 years.

The dial begins with genuine meteorite, its natural crystalline structure creating a pattern that is different in every piece. A deep green finish accentuates these intersecting formations while preserving the character of the material beneath.
Against this extraterrestrial surface, the Real Moon Joure presents a mechanical interpretation of the Moon itself. The three-dimensional lunar sphere rotates through its true cycle, bringing two very different expressions of astronomy together within the same dial.

The most accurate 3D moon phase
The Real Moon Joure translates the Moon’s 29.530588853-day cycle into the rotation of a hand-made three-dimensional lunar sphere. Its changing illuminated surface provides a direct mechanical representation of the phase of the Moon as observed from Earth.
The mechanism deviates by only one day in 11,000 years, making it the most accurate mechanical 3D moon phase in the world. The complication was recognised in 2014, when the Real Moon Joure was unanimously awarded European Watch of the Year by an international jury in London.
