The CVDK Real Moon Joure Meteorite Lunette surrounds its exceptionally precise three-dimensional moon phase with two contrasting materials. A blue sunburst dial sits within a 40 mm platinum case, framed by a genuine meteorite lunette with a rhodium-plated finish. At its heart, the miniature Moon follows the true lunar cycle with a deviation of only one day in 11,000 years.
Meteorite aroundthe Moon
Rather than placing meteorite at the centre of the dial, this Real Moon Joure uses the material to frame the composition. Its naturally formed structure runs around the dial as a meteorite lunette, set within the cool tone of the platinum case.
Inside, the blue sunburst dial changes character with the light, creating a quieter backdrop for the three-dimensional Moon. The combination gives the watch two different expressions of astronomy: material formed beyond Earth and a mechanical representation of the lunar cycle.

The most accurate 3D moon phase
The Real Moon Joure translates the Moon’s approximately 29.530588853-day cycle into the movement of a physical three-dimensional sphere. As the miniature Moon rotates, the changing illuminated portion of its surface directly represents the lunar phase as seen from Earth.
Its mechanical calculation is accurate enough to accumulate a deviation of only one day in 11,000 years, making it the most accurate mechanical 3D moon phase in the world. The Real Moon Joure was unanimously awarded European Watch of the Year in 2014.
